The collaboration between Robopac and Terre di Sangiorgio stems from the need to implement an automatic and flexible line to better manage the production phases starting from secondary packaging to palletizing and load stabilization.

With a production ranging from ready-made sauces and organic and bio-dynamic passata to industrial processed products, Terre di Sangiorgio offers high quality products thanks to the use of cutting-edge technologies used during the harvest, growth, processing and production phases of the raw material.

Thanks to the Dimac Nova, the latest developed shrink-wrapper and case packer, the business unit Robopac Packers was able to supply a technology in line with the customer’s needs: indeed, the machine carries out all the classic secondary packaging solutions (tray and film, tray only, film only, pad and film), at speeds of up to 35 cycles per minute, with the advantage of adding different configurations and optional in the future in a scalable way. According to the thickness of the blanks and their type, Dimac Nova magazine can hold from 700 to 1500 blanks.

Completing the end-of-line is a solution for both palletizing and load stabilization: Palwrapp, a compact, modular palletizer, combined with the Robopac stretch wrapper equipped with Cube Technology, with an output capacity up to 1200 packs or 120 layers per hour. The stretch wrapper is perfectly integrated in the palletizing area and the simultaneous work of the two machines is controlled by a single panel that allows the user to create, in a simple and intuitive way, different palletizing schemes and set the format change.

Palwrapp was chosen as the ideal solution for glass because the product is accompanied in all its movements without shocks and stress. In addition, it is a technology designed to handle complex palletizing schemes with precision, reliability and speed control.

The wrapping cycle starts when the palletizer has deposited the layers on the pallet and has reached the minimum height set and it ends with a finished and completely wrapped pallet at the exit. With Cube Technology the customer has an additional guarantee of safety and stability, and a saving of film that goes from 30% to 55%.

The collaboration between Robopac and Conserve Italia is historical, with actions mainly targeted at the French plants and Pomposa plant - one of the largest food factories in Italy - and aimed at the replacement of individual machines. In 2017 Robopac carried out a more complex project, which was the integration of a TC500 CW for glass bottles containing tomato puree to the already existing line.
