This new opening represents a major milestone for the company. In fact, the latter will double its production capacity in the Chinese market, expanding its production area from 4,500 square metres to 8,500 square metres and consolidating its presence in Jiaxing, in the Shanghai area, about one and a half hours from the international airport.
The opening of this second plant in Jiaxing, located just 10 km from the first, represents an important stage in the growth of the company that began in 2007 with the first production unit, and continued with the relocation to a completely renovated facility in 2013. Today, with this new expansion, Aetna Group is able to produce 150 machines annually, including wrap-around case packers, shrink-wrapping machines, automatic wrapping machines and palletisers. The plant also houses the assembly line of semi-automatic wrapping machines, a spare parts warehouse, a team of design engineers and an efficient after-sales service, to provide full support to local customers even after installation and commissioning of the lines.
The event will give visitors the opportunity to explore not just the production departments of the new plant, but also the permanent showroom dedicated to pallet wrapping technology. At the Open House, an exclusive demo circuit will be prepared to present a complete end-of-line for the beverage sector, consisting of a wrap-around case packer, a palletiser and a wrapping machine.
Furthermore, the new Techlab will be previewed, which will be up and running in the showroom during 2025. It is the most advanced research laboratory system in the industry, dedicated to continuous product and process development and providing customers with the chance to scientifically assess the effectiveness of palletised load packaging systems. This technology laboratory will be an addition to Techlab's global network already present in Italy, Germany, USA and Spain, and will be equipped with certified equipment and procedures to optimise palletised load stabilisation, reducing the use of plastic film without compromising stability.
